Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree banning the import and export of products and raw materials to and from Russia in 2022 according to the lists established by the Cabinet. The decree states that the ban on import and export to and from Russia will not affect the products and raw materials that citizens consume in their daily needs.

 

US President Joe Biden announced a ban on Russian oil imports into his country, followed by the British government unveiling its plan to abandon Russian energy imports by the end of this year.

On Tuesday, Biden announced a ban on US imports of oil, gas, and energy from Russia, in a major escalation of Western efforts to stifle Russia’s economy, which increases tension in global oil markets.
